fall!

growing up in florida i never really got experience real seasons. there's a whole lot of summer and then there is february. and everyone gets all out of sorts at how cold it is. and we mumble things like 'it's fucking florida. why is it so cold?' but now living in the mid atlantic i get to see real seasons happen, and they are beautiful. fall is kind of my favorite because there are so many inexplicable colors and i love the sound of dry leaves under my bike wheels. the air has a certain feel to and everything is starting over. it's really incredible.

this fall i'm playing a couple shows that i'm really excited about. on friday, spet.18th i'm playing a free show at six burner. for thos e of you who don't know, six burner is a super fancy, nice restaurant and i'm really excited to play there. i'm planing on wearing make up and a pretty dress. you can do whatever you, but i'm encouraging fancy attire. besides, isn't it nice to see what your friends look like all dressed up?

a week after that i'm playing a benefit for books on wheels at the camel on sept 24th. virginia is for covers! gull, liza kate, jonathan vassar, david schultz and myself are playing all covers, and it sounds like there are some really great and surprising sings happening. so come hang out and watch some great richmond folks cover great songs.

stay gold and enjoy the weather.
